These symptoms are typically associated with the menopause and can also include foggy brain, low libido and or, a dry vagina.

Using Hypnotherapy, we work together to establish the link between your state of mind and your experience of hot flushes and other symptoms that you may experience. We work to assess triggers causing symptoms and in particular, work with stress and anxiety since these feed and exacerbate hot flushes. For example, if you’re in public during a hot flush, you may feel embarrassed. However, this not only heightens the sensation of heat but also creates anxious anticipation of questioning when when the next hot flush is coming. In turn, this leaves you constantly on edge causing them to happen more frequently.

How long can I expect it to take?

A minimum of 4 sessions (possibly less, depending on severity). Clients usually experience improvement after their first session, however, for most, 4 sessions is the optimal.  This allows for you walking away with the tools and necessary skills you need. Over the period of the sessions, you will be left with session recordings too that you can revisit as and when you need.
