How can shaanti wellness help me?

Pain, particularly chronic pain can be multi-faceted so at shaanti wellness we believe in using a holistic approach based on your needs and circumstances. We may advocate the use of CBT to explore your relationship with pain and how it may affect you on a deeper level, both psychologically and emotionally. Hypnotherapy is known to be very effective in pain management; numerous studies have demonstrated its effectiveness for pain management. How long can I expect it to take?

This all depends upon the severity of your pain, how long you have had it and what you want to achieve for the therapy.  Our clients usually feel better after their first 2-3 sessions but for most we suggest at least 5 sessions.  This is so that we can give you the necessary tools to better manage any relapses you may have.  All being well we really don’t want that but this way you can leave therapy knowing that you have a skill for life.  For some this skill may need to be utilised more frequently, whilst for others the pain never returns.

shaanti wellness yoga is also designed to help you deal with pain whether it be of organic origin or psychological.  By psychological we don’t mean “in your head” but rather emotions can get stored in certain parts of our body and yoga is one way of releasing these emotions and reducing the pain.
